Noblesville educator Joe Marcum has filed to run for the 29th district of the Indiana House of Representatives. He will face Republican incumbent Kathy Richardson.
Marcum is a 35-year career teacher of U.S. History in the Noblesville school system. He is also the former varsity volleyball coach at Noblesville High School. Marcum will be retiring at the end of the 2014 school year after 37 years in public education.
“I decided to run for the Indiana House to give the voters a moderate voice in the 29th district,” he stated. “I am a strong supporter of public education and hope to bring a common-sense approach to the issues that face our community and our state.”
Noon Feb. 7 was the filing deadline for the primary candidates. Races that will affect Noblesville voters include:
