Sylvia L. Melson, 83, of Westfield, died on Dec. 15, 2013 at Maple Park Village. Born March 19, 1930 in Russell Springs, Ky., she was the daughter of Floyd and Rosa (Cooper) Snow.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son, Earl (Jerri) Melson; brother, Everett (Fran) Snow; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; cousin, Ruel (Portica) Harris; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Rose M. Long, Debra Kay (Melson) Irion, Gloria J. Melson and Patsy Melson; sister, Royal Harris; and brother, Junior Snow.
Graveside services were held on Dec. 20 at Riverside Cemetery in Noblesville with the Rev. Chad Muncie officiating.
