CIZ- COM - Owner Little Pottery 12-17

By Carla Howie

Serving dishes, butter dishes, tea pots, holiday ornaments and animals of many kinds can be found and painted at the newly opened The Little Pottery Shop, located at 150 W. Hawthorne St.

After months of building renovations, owner Mari Mower has established a quaint and relaxed atmosphere for anyone looking to take a brush in hand and paint their own unique piece of pottery. All pottery offered are food and dishwasher safe. Mower is a trained artist and will gladly assist so your piece can come to life with the design you have in mind.

“I am from the United Kingdom and received my art training from the Ipswich School of Art in Ipswich, U.K., and came to United States 11 years ago when my husband accepted employment with IndyCar motor sports racing. My children are old enough now and it was the right time for me to expand my own interests and participate in the community. Zionsville is an area that appreciates art and has that artsy feel. I have been a member of the local CCA Gallery and my shop will fit in right in and fill the gap offering a hands-on experience,” Mower said.

The Little Pottery Shop can accommodate birthday parties, businesses looking to have a team building experience, private party occasions and families looking for an activity to do together. “I will happy to extend the shop’s hours to make it convenient for them and make it work,” Mower said.
