People dressed in their holiday best Dec. 6 to celebrate the season at the holiday open houseparty hosted by The Barrington of Carmel, Hamilton County’s first life care senior living community.

Attendees enjoyed festive décor, cocktails and holiday toasts, refreshments and special prizes during the event. Singer Susan Boots provided live entertainment with her songs throughout the event as well.

The community began its phased opening just last month welcoming residents of independent living and was happy to host such a holiday celebration.

When fully opened, The Barrington of Carmel, a 19-acre $119 million project, will serve more than 330 residents and create more than 200 jobs for the community.

More than 150 people attended this special event, and guests were able to view the campus, gathering places and fitness center while also being provided with information on the new and innovative concept of health care services for life that the Barrington will provide its residents.

Situated on a 19-acre campus on Guilford Road off 116th Street, The Barrington recently began its phased opening process and upon completion, will feature 134 maintenance-free, independent living apartment homes and embrace the wellness-minded attitude of today’s older adults.

The community provides a variety of services and amenities, including fine dining, a bistro, fitness and wellness centers, creative arts studio, salon and spa, library, housekeeping, scheduled transportation and more.
