Our Lady of Grace Catholic School’s fifth grade class held its annual food drive for St. Vincent de Paul on Nov. 4 through 8. The food drive collected a total of 21,065 items and the spirit day mission provided an additional $292.76. Organizers said the school’s 21,065 items equal more than 7,200 pounds of food. The average person needs 30 pounds each week, so OLG students can feed 240 people for one week.

Organizers said St. Vincent de Paul, 1391 Greenfield Ave., Noblesville, is in need of food donations all year to serve Hamilton County. The food pantry supplies non-perishable stable foods ranging from canned veggies and fruits to tuna, meats and cereals, to toilet paper, toiletries, diapers, baby food and cleaning supplies.

The thrift store is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday; 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday; and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. For more information, visit www.svdpnoblesville.org or call 773-7608.
