A trip to the emergency room for you or a loved one can trigger fear and anxiety; especially if you are left to sit and wait; like taking a number at the delicatessen and there is a line in front of you.
Witham Health Services Emergency room at their Anson facility has transformed that and established a new standard of excellence by being awarded the prestigious Guardian of Excellence Award by Press Ganey Associates, Inc. in patient satisfaction.
Fewer than five percent of 10,000 health care facilities, including more than half of all U.S. hospitals who partner with Press Ganey Inc., meet their stringent criteria. Each award winner is reviewed during a course of one year to verify that a 95th percentile rank or higher is sustained. Drop below that, and disqualification is assured.
“Our emergency department is staffed by board-certified physicians and registered nurses who are trained in providing quality, compassionate care.” said Raymond Ingham, CEO and president of Witham Health Services. “This award reinforces our commitment to patient satisfaction and provides us with an opportunity to analyze our results and further strengthen our focus of providing superior patient satisfaction across other departments in the hospital as well.”
