Susan Brooks to speak at Forum

The Reach Leadership Series welcomes Congresswoman Susan Brooks as she delivers a message to guests from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Oct. 17 at the Forum at Fishers.

The congresswoman will discuss job creation and global competitiveness with a specific focus on bipartisan steps to take to develop a dynamic workforce and a pro-growth economy. Brooks also will discuss her work on the Education and Workforce Committee, particularly with efforts to give states more flexibility for workforce training and K-12 education.

CIF-COM-SUSAN BROOKS PHOTO10-8Brooks will share insights on the events shaping foreign policy efforts in the Middle East, particularly in relation to the challenges presented by instability in Syria and Iran’s nuclear efforts. She’ll also touch on her own career in both the public and private sectors and share her perspective on leadership, community service and running for office for the first time.

“I look forward to an engaging and positive conversation at October’s Reach Leadership Series meeting in Fishers,” Brooks stated. “This is a great opportunity to meet with constituents and discuss ways we can work together to create jobs, grow our economy and help our students succeed.”

Congresswoman Susan W. Brooks represents the 5th District of Indiana, which spans eight diverse counties throughout the central part of the Hoosier State. As a new member of Congress, she currently serves on the Education and Workforce, Homeland Security and Ethics

Committees. She is also the Chair of the Emergency Preparedness, Response and Communications Subcommittee. Brooks resides in Carmel with her husband David and two children.
