Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health North Hospital will host a reunion for its Neonatal Intensive Care patients and their families Aug. 24 from 3 to 5 p.m. More than 1,500 families who have had children admitted to the NICU at Riley at IU Health North since the hospital’s opening in December 2005 are invited. The reunion provides an opportunity for the families to celebrate and reminisce with the doctors, nurses and staff who cared for their children.

“We love to see the progress the children have made since leaving our NICU,” said Sandra Hoesli, MD, Medical Director of the NICU for Riley at IU Health North Hospital. “Bringing back all of our patients for a reunion is a heartwarming experience for the families and for our staff members who care so much about them.”
WHO: All families who have had children in the Riley NICU at IU Health North Hospital are invited. Neonatologists, nurses, child life specialists and other staff will also attend.
 
WHAT: NICU ReunionThe farm-themed reunion will offer a variety of activities including an outdoor petting zoo, family photos, games and music.
