Four Indianapolis residents were arrested last night after FPD observed a suspected armed robbery in progress at about 11:30 p.m.
A fifth suspect, a male, is still at large and the police are considering him armed and dangerous.
Three suspects were observed going into a Shell gas station, 9611 Allisonville Rd., masked, and one had a rifle, FPD stated in a release this morning.
A suspect was after cash and cigarettes, demanding them from an employee. The employee told the police that the same suspect pointed a rifle at him.
After the suspects left the gas station, FPD pursued the suspects into Marion County, specifically to the 8700 block of Doral West Dr., which is south of 91st Street.
Two suspects, Mercedes Hamilton, 19, and Janea Waller, 19, stayed in the vehicle, a white GMC Jimmy, while two males exited.
Douglas Dennis, 23, was caught by an IMPD K-9 unit and a search yielded a 17-year-old juvenile suspect.
Douglas, Hamilton and the juvenile were charged with theft, resisting law enforcement and armed robbery. Waller was charged with armed robbery and theft.
They’re being held at Hamilton County Jail.
The only person hurt was Dennis. He received minor wounds from the K-9.
