The City of Carmel, along with Republic Services, is now offering the city trash and curbside recycling services for businesses and not-for-profit organizations.

“The same service that our residents have had is now available to smaller businesses and not-for-profit organizations at the same price,” said Sue Maki of the City of Carmel Utilities. “We want to encourage businesses to recycle whenever possible.”

The program includes biweekly curbside recycling and weekly trash service (both with an option of one or two 96-gallon carts) with a maximum of three carts total. The monthly fee is $9.09, and will be billed through Carmel utilities. Service days will be the same as the residential schedule.

Businesses and organizations must be located within Carmel city limits, and a site visit and pre-approval is required. The program is not intended for multi-dwelling businesses such as apartments or condominiums.

Anyone interested in using this program should contact Sue Maki at City of Carmel Utilities at [email protected].
