Nick Badger, a senior at Zionsville Community High School, has earned the highest award the Boy Scouts of America offers to scouts, the Eagle Scout Award. Badger was recognized during a ceremony earlier this month at Saint Alphonsus de Liguori Catholic Church in Zionsville, where Badger is a member. Each candidate must earn 21 merit badges and successfully complete a community, church, or synagogue-related service project to earn his Eagle award. Badger chose to plan and build a life-size crucifixion scene of Je- sus on the cross, Mother Mary, Mary Magdalene and the Apostle John at the foot of the cross. He is the son of Jim and Denni Badger of Zionsville.
