Zionsville West Middle School Drama Club is proud to present an all-school musical production of Once Upon a Mattress. There will be two performances of this play: Friday, March 22 and Saturday, March 23 at 7PM. Tickets are $3 for students, $5 for adults, and $20 for families (family members living in the same home).
The play is directed by Lynne Manning, and features a cast and crew of over 30 ZWMS students from grades five through eight, including: Allison Anderson, Katelyn Benson, Celia Bias, Bronwyn Campbell, Zoe Craft, Abigail Edenburn, Angelina Ellis, Jamie Emerson, Julie Emerson, Sarah Hansen, Isabella Karnuta, Sophia Laser, Joe Luczak, Abigail Mangus, Madeleine Martin, Victoria Martine, Elizabeth Martine, Katie May, Grace Mayo, Emma McMillan, Molly McMillan, Kelsey Merrill, Lindsey Meyer, Troy Michael, Maggie Nobbe, Brock Pellam, Joshua Satterfield, Sarah Satterfield, Samuel Seyer, Sam Stucky, Jared Thies, Olivia VanEmmerik, Kate Ward, and Destiny Watson.
About the play: “If you thought you knew the story of ‘The Princess and The Pea,’ you may be in for a walloping surprise! Did you know, for instance, that Princess Winnifred actually swam the moat to reach Prince Dauntless the Drab? Or that, in fact, it wasn’t the pea at all that caused the princess a sleepless night? Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some side-splitting shenanigans. Chances are you’ll never look at fairy tales quite the same way again.”
