Carmel Education Foundation to hold youth talent showcase

The Carmel Education Foundation, the non-profit funding partner for CCS, will be holding its 27th Annual CEF Showcase on February 26 at Clay Middle School, 5150 E. 126 St. The CEF Showcase will feature performances by 9 elementary school and 2 middle school choirs and ensembles.

Students from Cherry Tree, College Wood, Forest Dale, Mohawk Trails, Orchard Park, Prairie Trace, Smoky Row, Towne Meadow, West Clay, Woodbrook elementary schools and Carmel and Clay middle schools will be participating throughout the evening.

Orff ensemble performances are a key part of the event. Instruments played in the ensemble include xylophones, metallophones and glockenspiels. The Orff approach, a style of teaching music, also includes singing, chanting, clapping, dancing and more.

CEF will be collecting donations at the performance. All collected donations will be shared with the music departments of each participating school.
