Duke Energy has contracted with a company to move a very large transformer through Zionsville on Tuesday, February 19th, at approximately noon. This “super load” will be escorted by the Indiana State Police, coming from Carmel en route to Plainfield. Due to the height of the “super load” the company cannot travel the Interstate. It is our understanding the route will be from US 421 heading west on 116th Street/SR 334 (Sycamore Street, First Street, Oak Street, Whitestown Parkway).
Please note: The flow of traffic will be temporarily re-routed while the “super load” is coming through town.
The Zionsville Police Department will be working with the Indiana State Police to get this “super load” through town as quickly as possible. Contact the Zionsville Police Department at 873-5967 with questions regarding this matter.
