Free tax assistance – AARP is again offering free tax assistance. Representatives are in the Sumner Room every Friday now through April 4. Call 896-9391 ext. 117 to reserve a spot in advance. Appointments are available between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

 

Take some tricks – Are you a euchre enthusiast looking for three other players? Then join in the fun when the WWPL Euchre Group meets at 5:30 p.m. the second and fourth Wednesday of each month. Come enjoy a relaxing evening of fun with some great people at this free program.

 

Yu-Gi-Oh/Pokemon Club – The Yu-Gi-Oh/Pokemon Club meets at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. This is a great place to share or trade cards, and it’s free.

 

Author visit – Come join other book lovers at a once-a-month discussion group. The group reads a wide variety of genres and meets at 1 p.m. on the third Wednesday of each month. You are invited even if you haven’t read the book. “Old Librarians Never Die, They Jump Out of Airplanes” by Marie J. Albertson is the book for this month, and the discussion is in the Sumner Room on Feb. 20. The author is attending and has books available to buy.

 

Watercolor painting and techniques – Artist Jan Roland will teach a class in Watercolor Painting and Techniques at 10:15 a.m. Feb. 21. No previous art experience is necessary, and the class fee of $12 includes all materials. To register, call 896-9391.

 

Pottery for Kids

On Feb. 22, create Turtles and Frogs with Jeremy South in pottery classes at the Westfield Washington Public Library. Prepayment and registration are required for each session. Call 896-9391 for details.

• Tiny Tots Pottery at 10:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. Children ages 1 to 3 years. Cost is $8.

• Preschool Pottery at 11:15 a.m. and 3 p.m. Kids ages 3 to 6. Cost is $9.

• Kids Pottery at 4 p.m. Kids ages 6 to 12. Cost is $16.
