98th and Keystone pavement work

0

Construction will continue on Wednesday, Nov. 28th at the intersection of 98th Street & Keystone Parkway. The traffic signal at this location was removed, and left-turning access was eliminated at the end of September. On Wednesday work will begin to remove pavement within the median of Keystone Parkway, permanently eliminating left turns at this location (98th Street).

In addition to the median pavement removal, some pavement will be added, and the roadway striping modified to accommodate an additional south-bound through lane on Keystone Parkway.

These modifications will allow for increased travel efficiency on Keystone Parkway, especially in the vicinity of its intersection with 96th Street.

Although all travel lanes will be open during this work, traffic will need to be shifted slightly toward the outside of the roadway to provide space for road crews to accomplish the necessary median work.

This work is all temperature-sensitive, but the City hopes the improvements will be completed within the next two weeks.
