Friendly, exceptional service priorities for ATI Physical Therapy

Clinical Director Nate Mejeur and his staff at ATI Physical Therapy on Brooks School Road set out to provide patients with friendly and exceptional service.

“We’re trying to provide people with an exceptional experience in terms of (physical therapy),” Mejeur said.  “We want a nice, friendly, encouraging environment for (patients) to work in while providing them that exceptional level of service that they’re coming for.”

He said the primary services at the clinic involve orthopedics – conditions involving the spine, elbows, shoulders, hips, etc. – as well as neurological conditions that impact mobility. Depending on demand, a return-to-work program is a possibility at the clinic.

Every patient gets a personal program for exercising and at-home follow-up. Mejeur said each person that comes in gets one-on-one attention.

“It’s very customized and individualized, so it’s not really just cookie cutter therapy,” he said.

ATI Therapy opened part-time at the end of June and officially opened on July 2. Its official ribbon-cutting with the Fishers Chamber of Commerce was last week.

Mejeur is new to the Fishers community.

“I’ve found it to be a very active community,” he said. “I’ve really enjoyed the patient population that we see here, just because it is, from my first couple (of) months here, (a) very active and motivated population to work with.”

Mejeur said the toughest part of the job is a “catch-22.” Finding enough time to fit the 45 clients into ATI Therapy’s schedule has been tough, according to the doctor of physical therapy.

The clinic is first new ATI branch to open and start from scratch after a year-long transition after the company bought Advanced Physical Therapy.

“In terms of my experience with ATI, I think they’re going to be top-notch,” he said, “and I think it’s going to be a very good fit for the Fishers Community.”
