NHS is seeking adults to serve as tutors in their areas of expertise. Additionally these adults would act as mentors to develop high school student tutors.
Officials are looking for adults with expertise in math (algebra I and II, geometry and pre-calculus); English writing or comprehension; science (chemistry, biology and physics); foreign languages (Spanish, French and German); and history, government and economics.
Tutoring would be held from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. during Academic Lab. NHS is looking for adults who would like to help one, two or three days a week or a few times a month. Adults can decide the amount of time based on their availability and school officials are willing to work around their schedules.
