Tuesday, August 21, 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.Do you wish you knew more about computers and how to use them, but you aren’t sure what questions to ask? Get one on one instruction with basic computer skills from BCSSI staff member Frances Thurston in the computer lab at BCSSI. Walk ins welcome.
Bereavement Support Group will begin another 6-week support group meeting on Tuesday, August 28 from 1:00-2:30 p.m. “Working through Grief.”The support group is free and for those who have recently experienced the loss of a loved one. This is an open support group. You may attend any of the meetings or just some of the meetings. Registration not required but would be appreciated. Contact BCSSI to register.
Lunch and Learn
Wednesday, August 22, noon till 1:00 p.m. Diabetes is lifelong chronic disease. Learn the causes, symptoms, treatments available and prevention measures you can take.Lunch, which is free to the first 25 registrants, will be provided by Hickory Creek.
Bridge and Euchre every Wednesday from 1:30-3:30 p.m. immediately following Lunch and Learn. Location will vary based on facility usage. For more information, contact Olive Wade at 765-325-2436.
Thursday, August 23, noon-6:00 p.m. By appointment only.Representatives will be on sight to assist low and moderate income families apply for federal work supports such as SNAP -Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (formerly food stamps), Indiana Mortgage exemptions, voter’s registration and others.
Zionsville Computer Classes
Every Wednesday –10:00 a.m. –12:00 p.m. located in the Narthex of Zionsville United Methodist Church (ZUMC). Do you have a computer project you need help completing? Instructor John Paulsrud will help you with solutions. This class if for students who have some computer knowledge.Makes checks payable to ZUMC. Space is limited. Registration is required. Zionsville Lunch and Learn
Friday, August 24, noon till 1:00 p.m. Many seniors in our community wish to stay in their homes and live independently. Kate Biehl from accessAbility the Center for Independent Living will present the S.A.I.L. program which helps seniors continue to live in their homes with greater independence and help to improve their overall quality of life. Lunch, which is free to the first 25 registrants, will be provided by Zionsville Meadows.
November 28-30—A Country Christmas at Opryland Hotel.
Cost is $639 per person based on double occupancy. Single, triple and quad occupancy prices are also available. Includes round trip motorcoach transportation, luggage handling and gratuities with Miller Trailways; 2 nights lodging; 2 meals;the Lorrie Morgan Enchanted Christmas Dinner Show; the Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular and more!
