Salon 01 opened its doors, and its pockets, on Monday to help out the Indiana Children’s Wish Fund.

Twenty percent of all sales that day went toward granting the wish of Erin Mayhugh, 16, a leukemia patient fromGreenfield. Mayhugh also received a manicure and pedicure from Salon 01 beautician Kayleigh Brown, as well as a visit from members of the Indiana Pacers Girls.

Mayhugh’s wish was a trip to Disneyworld for herself and her family, so that her infant niece Kaylee could experience it.

“I’ve been there before, and it’s a fun place to be,” Mayhugh said.

Mayhugh is the daughter of Jeff and Hope Mayhugh.

Salon 01 owners Micki and David Stirsman have been involved with the Indiana Children’s Wish Fund for more than a decade.

“Their whole mission is to grant wishes just for Indianachildren,” Micki said. “We found it a worthy cause.”
