Adult Summer Reading – “Library Five-O”

Fri., June 1 – Sat., July 28

Happy birthday, Hussey-Mayfield! Celebrate the 50th birthday of the Library attending great programs and reading and logging books to earn chances at prizes. Every book you read and log online earns you an entry slip to use in the weekly raffles- the more you read, the more entries you’ll earn. Everyone who logs at least one book will have a chance at the second and grand prize at summer’s end, and the Top Twenty Readers will also get a prize. This year, generous local merchants have again donated valuable coupons for adult patrons who read and log 5, 10, 15, and 20 books, so don’t stop at one! Come to the 2nd floor reference desk for details.

 

Teen Summer Reading – Diving Through the Decades

Read books or listen to audiobooks and get prizes!  Log your pages online, at home or at the Library, and get guaranteed prizes.  Earn raffle tickets for weekly prizes; with three prizes raffled off each week, there are 24 awesome prizes and chances for you to win.  All raffle tickets entered into the drawing go into the weekly drawing for our two grand prizes, including a lava lamp and a plasma ball!  You can even earn extra raffle tickets by coming to Library programs and writing Thank You cards to our sponsors.  See our volunteers at the Teen Prize Desk for details.

 

Youth Summer Reading – Let’s Read 50!

The Youth Summer Reading Program, begins Friday, June 1 for children ages birth through entering grade 5.  Earn prizes as you read your way through the summer! Keep track of your time in a reading log — available at the Library beginning June 1, or print one from our website: www.zionsville.lib.in.us.  The first 1000 children to report at least 3 hours of reading will receive a Squishy Reading Buddy or Rubber Duck!  To celebrate “Let’s Read 50!” completion of the program can be achieved in 3 different ways- 50 books, 50 days or 50 hours. The Celebration Station Prize Room opens Friday, June 8. When you have completed “50” on your reading log, you will earn a chance to win a Grand Prize:  Kindle Touch and Amazon Gift Card for school age children or a Gift Basket Books and Earth Explorers Gift Card for babies, toddlers and preschoolers!

 

Nifty-Fifty Extravaganza
