Small business expo visits Carmel

The Ritz Charles hosted the U.S. Small Business Conference & Expo last week, designed to connect small businesses with one another.

The expo is an event that travels throughout the U.S. bringing resources, training and development. This year’s theme was “2012 Success Plans.”

“We love working with small businesses, because so often they’re overlooked by larger printers,” said Amber Shaffer, owner of Green Bug Graphics, a full-service marketing firm that had a booth at the expo. “A lot of small business owners just don’t know what’s out there for them. Events like this are great because they meet other businesses that have their best interests at heart.”

Tony Scelzo, president of Stringcan, a content marketing firm, was invited to speak to the event, which gave the business extra exposure, according to its director of marketing, Tiffany Daniel.

“We’re a startup, so connecting with other small businesses is important to us,” Daniel said.
