The MononCommunity Centerwill debut its new FlowRider attraction this weekend, allowing patrons to experience the first simulated-surfing ride in the state.
The attraction is a simulated wave created by two giant motors pushing 30,000 gallons of water up a trampoline-like ramp every minute. This quick flow of water allows riders to body board or surf standing up on the ride surface. Riders must be 48 inches tall to body board and 52 inches tall to surf standing. Access to the FlowRider is included with daily admission to the Monon Community Center. Boards and vests are provided for all riders.
