Zionsville Community High School art teacher Brenda Jalaie’s “Supercharged Supercars” has been chosen as a winner of the Celebration of Hoosier Women Artists Exhibition.

Jalaie’s piece, an original artwork and one of 11 winning pieces in the competition, will be displayed in Lt. Governor Becky Skillman’s office until the end of 2012.

“I’m reminded every year during this competition we have an unbelievable amount of talent in the arts here in Indiana,” Skillman said. “I truly enjoy the process and seeing these works in my office every day.”

The contest is conducted annually in March to coincide with National Women’s History Month.
