With the many changes to kindergarten for the 2012-2013 school year, Carmel Clay Schools (CCS) is offering three information assistance sessions the week of March 26, 2012. These evenings will include:
- Assistance with online registration
- Information about the tuition-free full-day kindergarten
- Schedule May kindergarten screening
- Accept registration paperwork requirements
Any 2012-2013 Carmel kindergarten families who are not currently registered with CCS are strongly encouraged to attend one of these sessions. Kindergarten families who are currently registered for next year should already have this information, but are still welcome.

Requirements for registration:
- Official birth certificate (not a hospital record) AND
- Proof of residency
- Utility (electric and/or gas) statement AND
- Rental agreement, purchase agreement, closing documents, or deed
Guardians should also note that immunization records must be submitted to the school by Aug. 1, 2012. Those records may also be scanned and uploaded online, dropped off at the school, or sent by a doctor’s office.
Students must be at least five years old by Sept. 1 to start kindergarten in August 2012. While the state requires incoming kindergarten students to be five by Aug. 1, CCS grants waivers to students who will turn five by Sept. 1, 2012.
