Indiana Soccer to join Westfield Grand Park as a major anchor

Mayor Andy Cook announced in a press conference today the Indiana Soccer Association will relocate to Westfield’s Grand Park as another major anchor for the Grand Park Sports Campus.

Indiana Soccer has approximately 85,000 members ranging from youth players to adult players state-wide. The organization’s relocation from Lawrence is expected in 2012. Indiana Soccer will take on a managing role for the complex, with 32 sports fields for soccer, football, lacrosse, rugby and field hockey.

Indiana Soccer will be responsible for scheduling of all local clubs as well as repair and a portion of the revenue related to those fields.

The sports campus is expected to produce 2300 jobs in its first three years of business.
