Booth Tarkington Civic Theatre is launching a capital campaign, The Incredible Journey, motivated by the theatre’s sold-out Gala Celebration. The Gala featured festivities, including the Tarkington’s inaugural performance of “The Drowsy Chaperone.”
“Civic has already achieved 100% participation from our Board of Trustees, raising $3.2 million during the capital campaign’s silent phase,” said Civic Theatre Executive Director, Cheri Dick. “Our spectacular season begins with this exciting accomplishment as we settle into our new home in the Tarkington at the Center for the Performing Arts.”
The Incredible Journey campaign has been active since Jan. 1, 2011 with plans to continue until 2014. Funds will go to the Civic’s 100-year lease.
