Westfield Public Works Director Kurt Wanninger announced today that the Public Works Department will have a 40-pound bag of salt available for any homeowner living in the City of Westfield. Homeowners need to visit the City Services Center (2728 E. 171st Street), show proof of residency (utility bill) or identification with the proper residency and they will receive a bag of salt. “We realize that it has been an extremely difficult winter and we want help residents make their homes more accessible and safe,” says Kurt Wanninger. The Public Works Department will be giving away the bags of salt beginning Wednesday, February 9th until Friday, February 11th between the office hours of 8:00 am until 4:00 pm. Please note that you must be a taxpaying homeowner who resides in the City of Westfield to receive the free bag of salt.
