Job Fair offering advice from the experts

             Expert advice on how to maximize your job search, networking, writing resumes and giving good interviews will be some of the information offered at the Hamilton County Job Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 9 at the Hamilton County 4-H Fairgrounds, 2003 E. Pleasant St., Noblesville. Hosted by Noblesville Mayor John Ditslear, the fair is free, and job seekers will have many free resources available to them. 

                Breakout sessions will begin every hour on the hour from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.  During the breakout sessions, job search experts from WorkOne and Ball State University will give the following presentations:  Maximizing Your Job Search Strategies at a Job Fair; Networking Your Way to a Job; Resumé Tips; Interview Tips; and Comprehensive Strategies to Find Employment. 

Businesses who are looking to hire may still sign up to exhibit at the Job Fair.  The deadline to register as an exhibitor is Monday, November 1.  Employers will have the opportunity to meet and interview many job seekers, and two employers will be chosen at random to receive a $1500 continuing education training grant, courtesy of the Legacy Fund. 

Community partners assisting Mayor Ditslear and the City of Noblesville with the Job Fair include Indiana Region 5 Workforce Board, WorkOne, Legacy Fund,  Ball State University, the Hamilton County Alliance, the Hamilton County Commissioners, each of the Chambers of Commerce in Hamilton County (Noblesville, Carmel, Fishers, Sheridan, Hamilton North, and Westfield),  the Hamilton County Convention & Visitors Bureau, the Noblesville Department of Economic Development, Riverview Hospital and the Gordon Flesch Company.
