Non-profit Aspire earns Indiana Achievement Award

       Aspire Indiana, Inc. of Noblesville will be one of five Indiana nonprofit organizations to be honored Oct. 12 at the Indiana Achievement Award, hosted by  the IUPUI Solution Center in Indianapolis

          The ceremony will be at the Indiana Government Center South in downtown Indianapolis, as the concluding event of the 2010 Indiana Nonprofit Capacity Building Conference.  The Indiana Achievement Awards are a program that recognizes Indiana’s nonprofits for exemplary practices and demonstrated effectiveness.   Each award winner receives a $5,000 cash award and an organizational video produced by WFYI.

       IAA nominees are judged by a coalition of Indiana foundation, nonprofit, and business leaders for the organizations’ ability to demonstrate highly effective and impactful practices. IAA was created and led by the Sycamore Foundation for 10 years.

       In addition to Aspire, other winners include Aboite New Trails, Inc., Ft. Wayne;; Camptown, Inc., Indianapolis; College Mentors for Kids, Inc., Indianapolis; and Youth First, Inc., Evansville.

       Aspire Indiana is a not-for-profit comprehensive mental health offering an array of services including adult outpatient counseling services, child and adolescent counseling and case management services, 24 hour crisis services, drug and alcohol services, community support, and residential and employment services for chronically mentally ill clients. The staff is composed of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, nurses and other mental health professionals.
