A Hamilton Southeastern High School staff member tested positive for COVID-19 March 24 according to an email obtained by Current from an individual familiar with the situation but unauthorized to comment.
On March 26, the district learned a second individual who works in various buildings also tested positive for COVID-19.
The email stated it was unknown when the individuals contracted the virus, but the last known date they had potential contact with anyone in the district was March 13. If the 14-day quarantine was to be factored in, the last date of concern for someone who may have come into contact with those individuals to exhibit symptoms would be March 27.
The district encouraged email recipients to be on the lookout for symptoms such as a fever, cough or shortness of breath. It also encouraged email recipients to continue social distancing and to continue following CDC guidelines.
