Participants will play 18 holes with challenges along the way, including a hole-in-one opportunity to win a car. Dinner, an awards presentation and silent auction will be  at the Fishers American Legion, 9091 E. 126th St. following play. Silent auction items include a sit/stand desk, sports memorabilia, an IndyCar racing experience, escape room passes and free golf at local course.

In the past seven years, Post 470 and the ESA Eta Pi charity golf outing has raised more than $70,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to fund childhood cancer research. St. Jude’s research has helped improve the survival rate of childhood cancer from 20 percent to 80 percent.

“I think the community should support this event because childhood cancer is just one of the hardest things,” American Legion Auxiliary President Stephanie Lalani said. “We have the opportunity with St. Jude’s Research Hospital to continue their research. We’ve come a long way and their research has done great things. The children are our future, so we should do what we can to help them be healthy and happy and do some good in the world.”

The registration fee is $125 for an individual and $500 for a foursome. Sponsorship opportunities include a $150 hole and a $250 contest. For more or to register, visit legion470andetapigolfouting.org.
