May First Friday

From 6 to 9 p.m. May 3, Nickel Plate Arts will host its monthly First Friday. Guests can enjoy live music, refreshments, art and a cash bar. This month’s event also will welcome May’s new exhibits – a showcase of artwork from local elementary school students and a photography exhibit from Christine Merchent. Upstairs Downtown

For several years, Noblesville Main Street has embraced downtown with a unique event, Upstairs Downtown. The first of its seasonal First Friday events for 2019, Upstairs Downtown is a self-guided walking tour that lets people see the second and third floors of downtown’s historic buildings, including both commercial and residential spaces. This event runs from 5 to 8 p.m. May 3 and is $10 per person. Learn more at noblesvillemainstreet.org.

Farmers market

This weekend is the kickoff for the Noblesville Farmers Market, presented by Noblesville Main Street. Markets run each Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon, May 4 through Oct. 12, at Federal Hill Commons, 175 Logan St. More than 80 vendors make up the market each week, offering fresh produce, meat and dairy, plants and flowers, honey, spices, wine, canned and jarred foods, baked goods, soap and other personal care items, jewelry, art, crafts, pet products and more.
