Letter: Cover story an advertisement

0

Editor,

As a village resident and person who cares dearly about Zionsville, I am aghast at your reporting of the proposed Sycamore Flats development April 2). The cover of this week’s paper made me cringe and the story itself may as well have had “advertisement” printed above it. If you had bothered to look beyond the developer and ask residents, you would find that there is overwhelming opposition for this development. The article makes it sound like heaven on earth and denies the very steep cost for Zionsville, both financially and in reputation as this would be a giant step away from the very essence of this community. I hope you consider another cover story to properly convey the sentiment of those who live here and who would be affected by this development. Please, in the future, remember the heavy responsibility you have as a media agent.

Lyndsay Gilman, Zionsville
