Horace Mann, ABRA Auto Body & Glass and Copart USA recently collaborated to donate a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee to the Metropolitan School District of Lawrence Township. The donation allows MSDLT to have another vehicle in its fleet intended to reach families in need within the district.
“As a company committed to helping educators protect what they have today and prepare for a successful tomorrow, this donation fits right in with what we are all about,” said Allan Robinson, Horace Mann senior vice president of field operations and sales management. “Working with ABRA Auto Body & Glass, Copart USA and Lawrence Township Schools, we’ve donated a Jeep that will help the district reach out to families in need, giving them better access to the school and services they need.”
MSDLT Supt. Shawn Smith said the vehicle will be used to conduct home visits and other services for the district’s families.
“We are grateful to these organizations for identifying a need for our district and for working collaboratively to provide a solution,” Smith said. “Having this vehicle will support our Student Services Dept. when conducting home visits, on-site registrations for displaced or homeless families and transportation for families to school and other needed services.”
