Riverview Health announced today it will implement flu restrictions tomorrow, Jan. 11.
“As the number of flu cases is increasing, Riverview Health is taking added precautions to protect its patients, families, staff members and community from unnecessary exposure to influenza,” a statement from the organization said.
Restrictions include:
- No visitors with influenza-like illness, fever or cough
- No visitors under the age of 16, unless special arrangements are made
- No visitors except immediate family, partner or significant other
Hospital officials said they will continue to monitor conditions and remove the restrictions as soon as it is safe to do so.
