Letter: Boy Scout Troop 514 thanks Tom Wood Subaru for support

0

Editor,

I am an adult volunteer with Boy Scout Troop 514. I have been involved with Boy Scouts since 2009 and Cub Scouts before that. My husband and 22-year-old son are Eagle Scouts and my youngest son is a Life Scout.

Tom Wood Subaru helped support our troop by purchasing wreaths and poinsettias. The money from the 2017 and 2018 fundraiser allowed the troop to attend summer camp at Camp Ransburg in Bloomington; zip line and bike in Eagle Creek Park; canoe at Chain O’ Lakes in northern Indiana; backpack in Deam Wilderness Park, a part of the Hoosier National Forest; rock climb at Red River Gorge in Kentucky; and attend youth leadership training.

Boy Scout Troop 514 helps its charter organization, St. Monica Catholic Church and School, with landscape and clean-up projects and more. Troop 514’s recent Eagle Scout projects have helped Indianapolis-area organizations in need.

Tom Wood Subaru’s support truly provides incredible learning opportunities and fun outdoor adventures for the troop. It is much appreciated!
