The traffic pattern through the North Range Line Road improvement project has switched to northbound only as construction crews continue to work on drainage structures in the roadway from 8th Street (Smoky Row) to the U.S. 31 overpass. This change will remain in place for as long as the weather permits construction to continue.
At some point over the next few weeks – unless there is a dramatic warming trend – the project is likely to come to a winter stopping point, at which time the road will return to a two-way traffic pattern throughout the rest of the winter months. Construction would resume in early spring.
The project has been delayed the last few weeks due to early onset of freezing temperatures and utility delays.
