Preliminary 2018 General Election results for Boone County

Boone County voters waited in lines at polling locations to cast their votes Nov. 6, for as little as five minutes to more than one hour. Voters registered in Boone County can vote at any of the official vote center locations in the county.

Just before noon, voters reported waiting for less than five minutes at the Boone County Courthouse in Lebanon. Freedom Church in Lebanon also had a wait time of less than five minutes. The wait times at Zionsville Town Hall were reported to be just over 30 minutes from 8 a.m. to noon, and closer to 45 minutes from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Whitestown Municipal Building had an average wait time of 45 minutes, with a line at times stretching out its front doors. Voters reported waiting 45 minutes to more than one hour at Zionsville Presbyterian Church.

Shortly after 8 p.m., Boone County election results were updated with several races called.

Republican Lori Schein was named Boone County Circuit Court Judge. She won 67 percent of the vote, beating Independent Pam Buchanan. Republican Tom Santelli won Boone County Commissioner District 1 with 63 percent of the vote. Jennifer Hostetter, Republican, won Boone County Council District 1 with 57 percent. Republican Steve Jacob won Boone County Council.

Michael Berg was named Zionsville School Board’s Eagle Township representative, winning 40 percent of the vote.

Indiana voters approved an amendment to the Indiana Constitution obligating the General Assembly to adopt balanced budgets unless two-thirds of the members of both chambers vote to suspend the requirement.
