“Right now, the target date for opening is August 1. Construction started a couple of weeks ago,” said Lynn Milburn, owner of the new Red Wing Shoes location.

Milburn felt the booming expansion in the area would be a perfect fit for the new store.

“We chose our location in conjunction with Red Wing Shoes,” she said. “We knew that was an extremely strong area. There is so much growth there. With the Park 100, Zionsville, Anson and Whitestown area expansion, it’s just a natural choice.”

Red Wing Shoes has a long history in the footwear business.

“Red Wing has been in business since 1905,” Milburn said. “They have over 100 years of making superior-quality, all-leather products.”

Red Wing Shoes offers quality leather shoes for all types of wear.

“Red Wing shoes provide superior comfort and safety boots for workers, but it’s really for everyone,” Milburn said. “We have a wide selection of safety footwear. Everything from Oxfords for managers and supervisors, comfort needs, up through the pull-on boots and everything in between. We have soft-toe footwear that can be casual or for someone who doesn’t require protective-toed shoes. You can wear them in everyday life. It’s a good quality footwear.”

Milburn wants to have a ribbon cutting-ceremony at some point in August.

“We’re focused on building this location along with our Noblesville store and serving the north side of Indy and the surrounding areas,” Milburn said.
