Civic Theatre’s Day of Giving is a 24‐hour, online giving event created to increase awareness of Civic and connect the Civic family of audience members, Jr. Civic families, volunteers, and artists. On May 19, your gift can go even further to support Civic’s mission to foster a love of theatre through imagination, education, and participation. The Day of Giving will take place from 12 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. May 19.

The purpose of Civic’s Day of Giving is to celebrate Civic’s 103rd continuous season of providing theatre access to Central Indiana by encouraging patrons, volunteers and stakeholders to make a gift or post a tribute during a 24-hour period on May 19.

Civic’s goal for the third annual Day of Giving is to raise $10,000 through a broad-based fundraising and awareness campaign to close Civic’s 103rd season squarely ‘in the black.’

Julia Bonnett, Civic’s Director of Development and Administration stated: “Civic Theatre’s Day of Giving is all about connecting to our community, recognizing our volunteers, and raising awareness of the incredible artistic and educational opportunities offered at Civic. It is a chance for the entire Civic family to share stories of how the Theatre has impacted their lives and to invite others to celebrate this 103-year-old Central Indiana institution. It is our hope that May 19 will be a celebration of theatre and an inspiration to support the arts in our community.”

This year, in addition to tax-deductible donations online, Civic is introducing a text-to-give option. Besides monetary donations, testimonial posts on social media sites are welcome throughout the day as well. More information about how to give, as well as a social media guide, can be found at civictheatre.org/support.
